BIOGRAPHY

Eric Magnusson got his start in the elctronic imaging industry in 1988 as employee 35 at Quark Inc. He worked at Lightsource, and Live Picture, and has been 100-percent dedicated to ICC-based color management consulting and software engineering since 1998. Major customer base includes Lithography, Photography, Agency, and Creative Design.

Magnusson is also the founder & president of Left Dakota Inc, founded in 1992 to provide consulting for the electronic & database publishing markets (primarily QuarkXPress/Postscript based) and also to provide training, system needs analysis, system configuration & maintenance to corporations and individuals.

Past and present clients include: Allergan, Neutrogena, Corbis, Behr Paints, Adobe Inc., Disney, Paramount, The National Association of Television Programming Executives, and McGraw-Hill.

In addition to working for larger corporations, Left Dakota also serve individual professionals and small companies.

In recent years, Magnusson has steered Left Dakota to refine its focus exclusively to the area of Color Management, and is now a leading provider of product sales, training, and ongoing service to customers implementing ICC-based color management workflows.

As part of the company’s on-going commitment to improving color management, they engineer Macintosh-based commercial software products which solve long-standing color management quality issues, and allow owners of high-end proofing systems to dramatically improve the accuracy of their proofs. Our first product, “Link-o-lator”, began shipping in the summer of 2002, and is regarded as the world leader in the creation of specialty ICC device links.
